We had to move all the inter home from NYC to Florida Overall I was very pleased with my experience. Although I was given a slightly higher quote than I found with other moving companies (total move = approx. 250 miles), I chose Beacon Moving new york for their customer service. Michael was patient and helpful when speaking with me on the phone and helping to arrange my move.
I just moved with Beacon Moving and was extremely satisfied with them. After getting quotes from about 20 companys I narrowed it down between Beacon Moving and Mayflower. Beacon Moving quote was about 20% cheaper and I was very happy with their customer service. The movers arrived on time and were very professional. I received a call 24 hours before the movers arrived at my new home and they arrived the next day like clockwork! Nothing was even scratched or dented. They really contributed to a smooth and happy move.
The foreman and his crew were FANTASTIC. When first arrived he explain everything little detail to me. He answered all the questions and fears that I had. He communicated well with me and his crew. The movers did an outstanding job; they were very professional, well mannered and organized. They labeled everything, they wrapped all the big furniture and all my breakable items were handled with care. I really loved their work ethic it was great and because of that they even finished my move before the original quoted time. Don't get me wrong it was still a long day but NOT painful day. I was happy when we finished. I got wonderful service. I got great foreman and crew. I wasn't over charged nor didn't had any hiding cost that I didn't know about so I'm recommending this company and I will use them again for my next move.
Each time I made sure to tell Donny everything I have to move, detailing everything I needed to be packed and what I would package myself. I always made sure to take my personal valuable things with me when I moved. I always took my things off the wall and unplugged all my electronics and removed my things from my dresser drawers. These were things that Donny recommended for me to make the whole moving procedure quicker and easier for the guys.
I suggest that you make a formal inventory of your things that you are going to move and make sure anything you pack on your own to label with your Full Name and Address, just in case the bar code or color sticker comes off and they can't identify your box.
Beacons moved my items about 3 weeks ago, I’m so happy to say that I used these guys for my move out to Cali. They did a FANTASTIC JOB! I mean seriously I went online and submitted my info to Billy.com and I got over 100 emails and phone calls in a matter of minutes. Finally I called back Donny and he gave me a great deal and wonderful customer service.. I was overwhelmed to say the least and he really broke it down for me and just made everything seem so simple and easy to understand. Beacon Moving – Brooklyn, NY – the best outhere.
Last time I moved I used a different company and I only moved 3 blocks uptown with the only furniture being my bed and a dresser. This time around I moved from NY to a place outside of the city with a bed, dresser, bookshelf, sideboard table, and a HUGE wardrobe and it only cost me $200 more than my previous move. That’s INSANELY good pricing!
I had a really hard time choosing movers this time around after a less than stellar move from a different company last time but seriously, I am so glad I chose Beacon Moving company. I would recommend them to ANYONE and when I need to move again, I will definitely be using Beacon.
